Our approach to collaborative management logistics is simple: bring together the key players from all parties to explore the opportunities for consolidating warehousing and distribution logistics operations; align the strategy to our customers’ business goals; and then get to work to make it a reality.
Measurable results for Kellogg’s and Kimberly-Clark
Our collaboration project to consolidate the logistics operations of consumer manufacturing companies Kellogg’s and Kimberly-Clark has delivered impressive results since its inception in 2006:
- Annual reduction in miles travelled of 270,000
- Drop in diesel consumption of over 30,000 gallons per annum
- Environmental benefits – annual savings of 380,000 kg CO2 emissions
- 7% reduction in transport costs for both companies
The project was launched in the South East of England and was based on the premise that Kimberly-Clark and Kellogg’s share many small independent and multiple retail customers, and both also have a long-term partnership with logistics specialist TDG. The project has been so successful it is now expanding to other parts of the UK.
