Informing and involving employees

Talking to and understanding the opinions of our employees are an important part of ensuring that people feel valued. Where possible, we try to make sure communications are face to face, open and involve staff at all levels.

We use a number of tools to share knowledge and promote debate about the business. Our company intranet is the first point of contact for office-based staff – it’s the place to catch up on news and views as well as being a great access point for other business resources.

Although all TDG employees can access our intranet from their home computer, there are a great number, such as drivers and warehouse operators, who don’t have access while they’re at work. So we also have focus and listening groups, notice boards, team briefings, company newsletters and tool-box talks. This combination helps us keep everyone up to date with what’s happening in the business while actively encouraging feedback from employees.
