Keeping a check on how we're doing
We record our performance against a range of key indicators so we can see what's working and what's not.
These indicators include the number of major incidents, vehicle rollovers, prohibitions imposed on equipment at roadside checks, prosecutions received and vehicle and workplace accidents.
We examine the results of the FTA equipment inspections; MOT test performance; and our own maintenance system audits and depot assessments. The take up of driver training for LGV drivers and MHE operators is also an important part of our review. The 2007 results were encouraging but we continue to work towards our targets through training and communications activities.
