Time Flies at TDG for the Family Guys!
A trio of TDG employees – who are also brothers - have racked up an impressive 83 years’ service between them, proving that the logistics and supply chain organisation really is a family business at heart.
Peter, Keith and Paul Smalley, from Bolton in Lancashire, reached the milestone following decades of loyal service. 55-year-old Peter Smalley, notched up 30 years of service earlier this year, while his brother Paul, 51, will celebrate the same anniversary in the autumn. Their younger brother Keith has worked for TDG for an equally impressive 23 years.
Peter is currently depot manager for four North West sites including Trafford Park in Manchester and Bromborough on the Wirral. Peter began his career as a junior supervisor before becoming a warehouse manager and supervisor, and after telling his brother Paul about how good the company was to work for, he joined him, working his way up to depot manager. Keith then joined the band of brothers and is currently the warehouse operations manager at Trafford Park.
Peter says: “I’ve worked at TDG in its many guises for over thirty years. There have been some challenging and some exciting times, and on the whole far more good times than bad.”
Malcolm Keeling, Site General Manager, says: “It is nice to see such loyalty from a group of people. They have accumulated a wealth of experience which has helped us be recognised as a safe pair of hands. “
